Sustainability is a key element for Elelefoam which refers to the practice of producing goods in a manner that minimizes negative environmental and social impacts while ensuring economic viability. It involves adopting processes and techniques that prioritize environmental responsibility, social equity and economic efficiency throughout the entire lifecycle of its products. Elelefoam evaluates the environmental impact and carbon footprint of its products and defines improvement areas by using cradle to gate life cycle assessment (LCA).

Low emission products: As environmental regulations for air quality become more rigorous, Elelefoam has the capability to develop and produce low VOC (volatile organic compound) products to decrease nitrogen oxide emissions, carbon monoxide and particulate matter emissions. 

Bio-polyol usage: Able to incorporate bio based polyols to replace a portion of conventional oil-based polyols.

Circular Feedstock

Recycle and Reuse! Extend the life cycle of the product and reduce the need of the new sources. Automotive OEMs demand circular products more and more to reach their sustainability goals and meet the market and regulatory requirements.

Elelefoam is capable of developing and utilizing new formulations by incorporating mass-balance products sourced from circular feedstock sources. This is achieved despite the challenge of maintaining the same performance as existing products while reducing reliance on fossil feedstock.
